Projects this year that feature in Galway from the studio are music score for feature film 'Outcast with its Irish premiere on Friday 9th July. Music and sound design for frameworks animation 'Paperman' and mix and sound design for IFB Short Short 'Loft' which also premiere on Saturday afternoon.
March/April 2010
Outcast had its World premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas at the fright fest on 12th March and its European premiere at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival 14th April.

Wednesday 17th 7.30pm on TV3, this six part series about Dublin Zoo starts. Title music and mix from the studio here as well as recording Tom Dunne's voice over. Music and mix for documentary 'The Open Road' looking at the work of the agency KARE for RTE. New Lucozade O'Gara 6 Nations ad on air. The Apprentice wins an IFTA, music score from Waveform. The Dragons are back in the second series of the hit show at 10.15 on Thursdays RTE ONE, all music in the series from Waveform. Outcast is set to premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas ath the fright fest on 12th March.

Happy New Year! Waveform Studios has started 2010 with a bang. No less than four of the studios projects from 2009 have been nominated for Irish Film & Television Awards later this year. They are Trolley Boy(Best Animation), The Forgotten Irish (Best Single Documentary), The Apprentice (Best Entertainment Programme) and Paul Williams Investigates (Best Current Affairs). Watch this space!
'The Gift of Life', a 3 part series produced by Animo Television for TV3 starts 21st January at 10pm. The series will follow the stories of 14 people from all over Ireland who are awaiting transplants.

'The Forgotten Irish', a new 2 part documentary from director Maurice Sweeney examines the decade after WWII when hundreds of thousands of men and women emigrated to Britain. Final mix is completed in Berlin on Outcast. The Apprentice is in full swing. Music completed for Francis Bacon at the Hugh Lane Gallery.
August/September 2009
   
Finishing up scoring debut feature Outcast, a supernatural thriller directed by Colm McCarthy (Single Handed, Spooks, The Tudors, Murphy's Law), featuring James Nesbit and Kate Dickie. On TV3, the music for the new 13 part series of the Apprentice and
a two part documentary following the forgotten Irish. Teeth is voted one of the best all time Irish Film Board shorts (see look to view/listen).

Happy Birthday, Waveform Studios is 8 this month. Frameworks animation Trolley Boy by Teemu Auersalo at Galway Film Feadh 2009 and Orla Murphy's Nollaig Shona amongst three films worked on at Waveform this past year.

Post, music & sound design on a number of projects. On TV 'The Battle for the Gas Field' and a documentary for RBB/ARTE called 'Tanzfieber' in Germany. The short film Lowland Fell wins an award at Seattle Film Festival.

Monday 25th February 10pm sees the launch of our latest project on TV3. Prompted by the murder of Veronica Guerin, the Criminal Assets Bureau was set up in 1996. In an authoritative and hard-hitting 6 part documentary series, investigative journalist Paul Williams will follow the workings and history of the Bureau in DIRTY MONEY: THE STORY OF THE CRIMINAL ASSETS BUREAU. All music and audio post for Tidiest Towns was created in the new studio at Merrion Row. Great VO performances from Daire O'Brien. A great entertaining programme which we really enjoyed writing the music for.

We have also just finished mixing a 6 part series called Posadh Sli Eile, which has been broadcast on TG4.
Teeth has won a 5th award, this time at the Brest Film Festival. Well done to all involved.

Congratulations to Mathew Talbot-Kelly - Blind Man's Eye is the only Irish film nominated for this year's Venice film festival. Teeth has been released by Buena Vista International in selected cinemas nationwide from 31st August. Waveform is also on the move to Merrion Row where we will have two studios.
